Summary

There was no increased nutrient concentrations recorded in Skagerak or Kattegatt and the spring bloom had not began. The oxygen condition in the bottom water of Skagerrak was good and no station recorded a saturation below 90%. In the bottom water of Kattegatt the lowest recorded oxygen concentration was 6.22 ml/l at Skälderviken, corresponding to a degree of saturation of 86%. At the visited freqvent stations, Släggö P2 and Å13 in the Skagerrak and Fladen and Anholt E in the Kattegatt sea surface temperatur, salinity and nutrient concentrations as well as oxygen amounts in the bottom water were normal for the season.
