SMHI Gothenburg is located at Nya Varvet, on the river. SMHI is in a white building with the SMHI logo in large letters. Parking is available at the building.
Directions from the train station
Take the no. 91 bus from the Nils Ericssonterminalen at the central train station, towards Frölunda Torg. Get off at the Rengatan stop. The journey takes around 15 minutes from Nils Ericssonsterminalen. From there, follow the signs on foot to Nya Varvet, about 5-10 minutes walk.
Take the no. 114 bus from the Nils Ericssonterminalen at the central train station, towards Saltholmen. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the Örlogsvägen stop which is about 100 meters from SMHI.
Bus 114 runs from city center to Nya Varvet during rush hours in the morning. In the afternoon it runs in the opposite direction.
Take tram no. 11 from the Central Station towards Saltholmen. The stop is called Nya Varvet. The journey takes around 30 minutes from Gothenburg Central. Take the footpath through the avenue called Nya varvsallén, about 10-15 minutes.
Take tram no. 9 from the Central Station towards Kungssten. The stop is called Kungssten. The journey takes about 23 minutes. The walk from Kungssten takes 10-15 minutes.

Directions by road
E6, from the north
Take the E6 towards Gothenburg (Göteborg). Turn right towards Fredrikshamn directly after the Tingstadstunneln tunnel. Head for the centre and continue towards Särö. You will drive through the Götatunneln tunnel.
Continue towards Särö and Malmö E6. Turn right towards Nya Varvet/Långedrag. Turn right at the first roundabout towards Nya Varvet. Cross the tramline. Turn left and continue for around 600 m along the street called Hästebäcksgatan. Turn right towards Nya Varvet. Turn left once you have come down the hill.
Continue past Malins Skafferi restaurant, and from there you will see the SMHI logo on building 31.
E6, from the south
Take the E6 towards Oslo. Exit right at Åbromotet/the Åbro junction towards Hamnar Väster (the Västerleden route). Follow Västerleden and drive through the Gnistängstunneln tunnel. Immediately after the tunnel, exit right towards Nya Varvet.
At the first roundabout, turn left. At the second roundabout, turn right. Cross the tramline.
Turn left and continue for around 600 m along the street called Hästebäcksgatan. Turn right towards Nya Varvet. Turn left once you have come down the hill. Continue past Malins Skafferi, and from there you will see the SMHI logo on building 31.
