Summary
The expedition was included within National Board of Fisheries International Bottom Trawl Survey and covered the Skagerrak and the Kattegat and the Sound. Mapping of winter nutrient conditions was performed in the Skagerrak and 14 stations with complete hydrography were sampled. In the Kattegat 10 stations with complete hydrography were sampled. The nutrient concentrations were higher than normal in both the Skagerrak and the Kattegat, especially silicate. The oxygen condition in the bottom water was good and no station recorded a saturation below 90%. The spring bloom had not yet started.
