With more than 18,000 trade visitors and over 500 exhibitors in 2010, the E-world fair is considered to be the premier fair in the European energy and water industries. Exhibitors come from all areas within the energy trade, sales and marketing, energy production, plant and power station engineering as well as from research. SMHI is one of the exhibitors at the fair together with our partner Montel, one of the leading providers of news and market data in the Scandinavian and European energy markets.
Weather is driving the prices across the energy markets and this year we are proud to present our intensified co-operation with Montel. The SMHI weather products, presented in smart visualization for comparability, are now fully integrated into the Montel Online service.
The Montel-SMHI weather pages include advanced maps for Europe for a number of selectable parameters. The user interface lets the user evaluate and compare different weather models and parameters side by side, fast and easy. In addition, a cross chart providing a quick overview of Nordic key weather data from different forecast models, as well as a probability graph presenting the spreads between all ensemble scenarios, are now available in the service.
The Montel-SMHI weather pages also give the user key weather data for the Nordic market, wind index for Germany and Denmark as well as monthly and seasonal forecasts for Europe.
In order to provide a full range of products critical to energy traders’ success, SMHI can also provide the presented data, meteorological and hydrological, on Montel Online directly to customers own systems.
