Summary
The surface water temperatures varied between 5,5-7,0 °C in the Baltic, 3,5-5,4 °C in the Kattegat and 5,8-7,2 °C in the Skagerrak. The surface nutrients concentrations showed,for the season, normal values in the whole area. Hydrogen sulphide was present in the Eastern Gotland Basin at station BY 10 from 140 meters and at the Gotland and Fårö Deep from 175 meters. No hydrogen sulphide was detected in the Bornholm Basin. The chlorofyllfluorescence was low in the whole area.
