Summary
Surface nutrient concentrations were low in all areas, which is normal for the season. A heavy bloom preliminary of Aphanizomenon "baltica" and Nodularia spumigena was seen at stations in the Baltic Sea, though it was less prominent in the Soutwestern parts. Oxygen levels below 1 ml/l was found in the deepwater of the Arkona Basin. At The Fårödepth (BY20) and West of Gotland, hydrogen sulphide was present near the bottom. In the rest of the Baltic Sea, bottom oxygen levels were around 2 l/l.
