Hydrological information gives you the edge
We offer a general hydrological package for Sweden and Norway, covering precipitation, snow, soil water and runoff. The results are based on the modern and updated E-HYPE model developed by SMHI, and forecasts are shown in the most relevant form, i.e. GWh.
The model runs daily and incoming data are supervised and analysed by hydrologists with experience in the energy market.
What are the benefits?
- GWh-forecasts per price areas, covering Norway and Sweden
- The ability to take advantage of the hydrological situation
- The ability to react swiftly
- Access to extensive experience in hydrological modelling at SMHI
- Daily updates
Product example from SMHI Hydro
Precipitation and temperature:
It will be a very mild, windy and unstable period. Deep low pressure will pass in north with fresh, at times strong southwest wind. Much above normal temperature. The precipitation will be concentrated in the mountain range, with 20-50mm/10days, locally more. Most of it in form of snow, but in connection with the mildest air rain elements even in the mountains. Other parts of the country 5-15 mm. In the middle of next week change to southerly wind and some precipitation from south.
Snow and soil:
Increasing from 18 to 20 TWh, which is 2 TWh higher than the seasonal norm.
The inflow between 80 and 100 GWh/day is just above normal (70).
Hydrologist's inflow forecast:
w 3: 550 GWh
w 4: 650 GWh
