Climate change in combination with growing populations, urbanization and changing lifestyles are together driving the need for reduction of fossil resource use. To respond to these megatrends we need our future economy to be increasingly based on renewable resources.
As part of the Sweden Co-Lab Pavilion, companies like Stora Enso, ABB and SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) will showcase innovations, sprung from co-creation, which contribute to an accelerated shift into a sustainable bio-economy. Guests will learn how new digital services drive sustainable forestry into the future and how innovative technologies help to reduce the carbon footprint through energy efficient operations.
SMHI will demonstrate sustainable solutions for bio-economy in co-operation with industry and academia and participate in business networking activities as part of the official business delegation from Sweden. SMHIs specific showcase is a service for the forestry area.
