Summary
High concentrations of phosphate were measured in the southern Baltic Proper. Also silicate concentrations were elevated, while the nitrogen components showed, for the season, normal values. The spring bloom in Skagerrak and Kattegat was over, while it was still ongoing in the Baltic. Hydrogen sulphide was present in the western Gotland Basin from a depth of 90 meters and in the eastern Gotland Basin from 125 meters depth. Data presented in this report have been subject to preliminary quality control procedures only.
