Sammanfattning
In the Kattegat, biological sampling according to the Baltic Monitoring Program was carried out. Hydrogen sulphide was found in the Bornholm Basin and in the East Baltic (the Gotland Deep and the Fårö Deep). In the bottom water at station BY29 and in the Western Baltic (BY38, BY32, BY31) there was low oxygen concentrations, between 0.10 and 0.50 ml/l. Oxygen saturation in the Kattegat had a minimum in the bottom water at Anholt E, 46%. The nitrate values in the surface water, were below detection limit in all areas, and so were also the phosphate concentrations in the Southern Baltic. Phytoplankton blooms was registered in the southeast of the Kattegat and east of Öland, in the Baltic.
