The expedition was included within SLU:s International Bottom Trawl Survey and covered the Skagerrak and the Kattegat.

Mapping of winter nutrient conditions was performed in the Skagerrak at 15 stations where complete hydrography sampled, and 11 stations with only CTD. In the Kattegat area 12 stations were sampled with CTD and bottle samples, and 10 stations with only CTD.

During the expedition two of the monitoring stations, Anholt E and Fladen in the Kattegat, were sampled. Surface salinity and dissolved inorganic nitrogen concentration showed values normal for the season. Temperature, the amount of phosphate and silicate was slightly above normal for the season

Oxygen concentrations in the bottom water of the investigated areas were good and the lowest concentration, 5.7 ml/l, was found at 36N Hanstholm in the middle of Skagerrak.

The spring bloom had not yet started in the investigated area.
