Modelling of flow and transport processes within complex environments, aiming to improve the understanding of the patterns and trends of air pollution and microclimate in cities under current and future climate, and related impacts on human health and urban sustainability.

Development and evaluation of local scale numerical models describing flow and transport mechanisms in urban areas. Air quality field monitoring. Bilateral cooperation with South-American countries on urban air quality. Research on forest fire effects.
