Radar and lightning

In a radar image map, you can see precipitation in clouds or precipitation falling towards the ground. In different time steps, you can see how the precipitation has moved.

Precipitation is detected by ground-based radar stations. Precipitation clouds at very low altitudes may, in some cases, pass beneath the signals of the radar stations and thus become 'invisible' on the map.
