Fields of work

  • Regional and global climate modelling
  • Arctic climate variability, prediction and future change
  • Large scale ocean processes
  • Ice-ocean-atmosphere coupling
  • Arctic-lower latitude interactions

Research Interests

  • Understand processes and natural variability in the North Atlantic-Arctic climate system.
  • Investigating future changes in Arctic sea ice and the role for lower latitudes.
  • Analyze the importance of resolution for representing climate processes.

Special competences

Perform and analyse climate model simulations. SMHI’s PI for EU-H2020 project PRIMAVERA, Nordforsk-projects GREENICE and ARCPATH, JPI-Belmont-project InterDec, VR-project GIWA.
