An international hydrological dictionary is currently available in 15 languages. The dictionary will be supplemented by Swedish terms. Work is carried out by Swedish Hydrological Council with support from the IHP Committee.

UNESCO has opened a new research center in Stockholm at SIWI to raise awareness about how we can work together on shared water resources to avoid conflicts.

New article in the journal Water

In 2011 two workshops was held, which have now been published in an article in the journal Water. The article is called "Potentials for Numerical Models in Water Management Recommendations for Local Water Management with Stakeholder Involvement" and gives recommendations on how to best work with hydrological models and the involvement of decision makers.

In September 2013 there was an IHP meeting in Nairobi. The three-day meeting included panel discussions and workshops.

Now there is the final report ready by the 49th session of the Intergovernmental Council of the IHP.

The General Assembly 2015 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) is held at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) in Vienna, Austria, from 12 – 17 April 2015. The assembly is open to the scientists of all nations.
