| SCOBI
Process-oriented models are relatively simple and fast and used for physical and biogeochemical process studies. The biogeochemical model SCOBI (Swedish Coastal and Ocean Biogeochemical) includes marine nitrogen, phosphorous and oxygen dynamics. It is developed within a coupled model system. The main focus is to create a tool for decision-makers in aspects of environmental protection analyses. The SCOBI model is adjusted to the Baltic Sea ecosystem and therefore includes phytoplankton dynamics as well as the dynamics of nitrogen fix-ation. It has been applied to different sea areas, in coastal archipelagos as well as open seas.
