REGIONAL CALIBRATION he aim of this project is to provide a mtehod and guidelines for automatic calibration of the HBV model in regional applications. Traditionally, the model has been calibrated with site-specific parameters, by optimisation of parameters for one basin at a time. Spatial transfer of model parameters would facilitate interpolation of runoff between measured basins, and prediction in ungauged basins (PUB). Such methods for regional calibration are being developed in this project, as a contribution to a larger project aiming at improved flood forecasting in Sweden.
