Life-form: Solitary

Size: Length 23-37 µm, width 19-30 µm; Cyst size length 25-48 µm, width 25-44 µm.

Note: The thecate cell resemble several other species of Scrippsiella (Lewis 1991)

Distinctive features: Apical process and collar, round hypotheca. 1'-plate is very narrow, sulcal plate pattern. Calcareous cyst.
