Life-form: Solitary

Size: Length 280-360 µm, width 40-50 µm .

Resting spore:

Note: A very variable species. According to Reinecke (1973) this species should be named C. tenue

Distinctive features: Open-ended horns and nearly straight apical horn

Similar species: C. longipes

Distribution: Worldwide
