Jag har arbetat på SMHI, sedan 1982. Min bakgrund är dynamisk meteorologi, och jag tog min doktorsexamen 1982 på Meteorologiska Institutionen på Stockholms Universitet.
Avhandlingen handlade om gravitiationsvågor i numeriska modeller.
Här har jag mest arbetat med fysikaliska processer, framför allt med parameterisering av marken i numeriska prognosmodeller/klimatmodeller.
Jag har även intresserat mig för förenklade metoder för mycket korta prognoser, s.k. nowcasting.

I have been working at SMHI since 1982. My background is dynamic meteorolgi, and I have PhD from Stockholm University. My thesis treated gravitywaves in numerical models.
At SMHI, I have mainly focused on physical parameterization, mainly in the field of surface modelling, in climate and NWP-models.
During the years I have also worked with different nowcasting methods.
