Composite radar images are generated with data from as many available weather radars as possible. All together, there are 35 weather radars in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, and Latvia. NORDRAD is a close collaboration among the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI), the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (, the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI), the Estonian Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (EMHI), and the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Agency (LEGMA). An additional agreement with the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) makes it possible to generate this composite image in real time with data from all these radars.

This page is updated with a fresh composite every hour, at around 15 minutes past the hour.
