Of course, we wish to avoid all bad weather, but on certain routes and in certain seasons and weather situations, it can be difficult to choose the best course. Knowing where the line to directly hazardous weather for cargo or vessels goes is important, regardless of whether this is based on objective measured values or on a more subjective feeling of the captain.

SMHI Onboard Routing includes weather forecasts and advanced route planning with certain estimates of vessel performance with regard to speed, fuel consumption and expected time of arrival.

The GPS-customized interface provides you with route planning.
