Climate effects on many, unknown, small watercourses

Small streams could be sensitive to changes in climate. The aim of this project is to estimate the impact of climate change on boreal streams, mainly discharge and total organic carbon (TOC). SMHI has developed a modelled called HYPE (Hydrological Predictions for the Environment). HYPE can model discharge, nitrogen and phosphorous. TOC will be included into the HYPE model. When the model works for today climate, different future climate sceneries will be run through the model.
