Summary

The expedition was included within SLU:s International Bottom Trawl Survey and covered the Skagerrak and the Kattegat.

Mapping of winter nutrient conditions was performed in the Skagerrak and 10 stations with complete hydrography were sampled. In the Kattegat area 16 stations were sampled with ctd and bottle sample. Anholt E, Fladen and Å15: The sea surface temperature was above normal for the season. Nutrient concentrations showed values normal for the season.

Oxygen conditions in the bottom waters of the investigated areas were good and many stations showed values over 90% saturation throughout the water column. The spring bloom was beginning to start in the northeast part of the Kattegatt.
