Summary
Mapping of winter nutrient conditions was performed in the Skagerrak and 16 stations with complete hydrography were sampled. In the Kattegatt area 18 stations were sampled with complete hydrography. The silicate levels were slightly enhanced compared to the normal in the Skagerrak. The other nutrient showed normal values or near normal values for the season in the measured area. The oxygen condition in the bottom waters of the area was good and most stations showed values over 90% oxygen saturation. During the last days of the expedition you could see beginning of spring bloom in the southern part of the Kattegatt.
