With a focus on water resources, the side event will explore dependencies between the local, national and transboundary scales an how diminished capacity of governments to provide services can be a source to local conflicts.
Climate study presented in Durban
South Africa is one of the regions that will be affected the most by climate change. At COP17 in Durban SMHI will present a study on climate adaptation for eastern South Africa.
