Nash and Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE) of Water discharge (m3/s) for E-Hype 2.1

The NSE indicates the model’s ability to represent the temporal variability of discharge while still taking into account that the volume of discharge is reasonably reproduced. For all stations across Europe, two-thirds have a daily NSE greater than 0 and more than half of the stations have a daily NSE greater than 0.4. Generally, those stations with poorer NSE were those for which the volume was most poorly simulated
